RSA Awards
Regional Studies Association Prizes for 2012. Call for nominations now open!
Nominations (both self-nominations and third party nominations) are being sought for the Routledge RSA Award for Early Career Excellence 2012
and the Nathaniel Lichfield Award (Master)
in regional studies, which will be awarded by the Regional Studies Association Award Committee in 2012. The Awards ceremony will take place during the 2012 President's Event (venue and date to be confirmed).
Deadline for nomination: 30th May 2012
The prizes for the Awards are:
- A cheque for £500*;
- Free Annual International Conference place in 2013 (venue TBC);
- A certificate;
- Up to £200 discretionary fund toward attending the RSA President's Event (transport costs).
The nominee is expected to have made an original and outstanding contribution to the field of regional studies and the leading personal contribution of the recipient to the work must be clearly identifiable.
Nominations should include a fully referenced piece of work in English, which fits the research interests of the Association. Submissions are particularly welcome in our prioritised fields of research:
- Regional Theory
- Regional economic development
- Regional planning and policy
- Regional policy, public management and policy evaluation
- Territorial politics, governance, regionalism and federalism
- Regional 'impacts'
- Data, methods and spatial econometrics
- Regional identities
*In case the award is assigned to two or more nominees, the prize will be divided equally among the winners.
