Ambassadors
The Regional Studies Association has an extensive international network of Branches, Sections, Divisions and Territorial Ambassadors who work together with the Association to expand the opportunities and benefits offered to its members and to introduce the Association to those who do not yet know us.
These networks are set up to organise a range of activities open to all and to inform and disseminate information on regional studies at a local, regional and/or national level. They also act as an invaluable link to the Association for those who work in a language other than English and also for those who cannot attend major events organised by the Association.
If you would like more information on the global RSA territorial representatives scheme, please read the Ambassador Guidelines and the Branch-Chair-Guidelines or contact samantha.wannop@regionalstudies.org

Research Networks
RSA Research Networks are formed by RSA members interested in collaborating to examine an issue that responds to the aims and goals of the Association, and which is of interest and concern to both members and non-members. These issues need not necessarily to have a direct policy focus, but the examination would normally lead to policy-related conclusions.
The maximum funding for Research Network Grant Scheme is:
- £10,000 (c. $12,700; c. €11,200) for newly established networks;
- £7,500 (c. $9,500; c. €8,400) for renewing networks.

The Women in Regional Studies and Regional Science is a group where early and mid career women from the fields of regional studies and science join to discuss topical issues in the field.
We also support the Women’s Network via a closed Women’s Network Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/614254942304587/). This was an outcome from our earlier in-person RSA Networking Workshops for Early and Mid-Career Women in Regional Studies and Science. If you would like to join, please click on the link above and request to join.
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting early and mid-career women in regional studies, we have also set up a Women’s Network WhatsApp group. This group continues to grow and has now reached over 80 members. Members of the group regularly engage in discussion and conversation, sharing tips and disseminating information.
