New Early Career Editor for Regional Studies
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Ernest Miguelez, Researcher at the CNRS & GREThA-Université de Bordeaux, France as the new Early Career Editor of Regional Studies.
Professor Ivan Turok, Editor-in-Chief of Regional Studies is delighted with the appointment “Ernest is a tremendous addition to the editorial team, and will really strengthen our capabilities in a wide range of subjects published in the journal, including applied economics, the geography of innovation, skilled labour mobility, social network analysis and spatial econometrics. I welcome Ernest to the role of Early Career Editor and look forward to working with him”.
Ernest commented “I am thrilled to become the Early Career Editor of Regional Studies. The previous Early Career Editor, Dr John Harrison, has done an amazing job, alongside the rest of the editorial team, placing Regional Studies as the reference journal in regional studies and economic geography. In my new role, I hope to humbly contribute to the efficient working and high standards of the journal. I also see this new challenge as a great opportunity to make a step forward in my career, by being involved in the editorial process of one of the best known journals in my discipline, while learning from other more senior colleagues during my everyday tasks. I look forward to starting my duties as Early Career Editor of Regional Studies!”.
