The Gender and Regional Studies network is a research network whose purpose is to bring together researchers and research perspectives on the topic of gender in regional studies. The network organises activities such as workshops, special sessions, book projects, conferences etc. in various locations throughout the globe – all with the shared purpose of pushing forward the field of gender research in the regional studies community. With its academic and organisational abode in Economic Geography at Lund, Örebro University and Stockholm University respectively, the Gender and Regional Studies network forms a support structure for international scholars working on gender and entrepreneurship, governance, policy, SMEs, local and regional planning, innovation and similar topics.
The first online seminar of the Gender and Regional Studies network of the Regional Studies Association – Working from home: work, gender, and space took place on 11 June 2021. In this session, we discussed the gendered and spatial aspects of working from home with Dr. Darja Reuschke who presented on the subject of home working during COVID-19, and Dr. Elizabeth Wagemann along with Dr. Beth Simons and Victoria Maynard.
