We are delighted that a Best Paper Award for the RSA eZine Regions has been established. For the very first time, we are happy to announce the winners for the Regions Best Paper for articles submitted in 2020 issue. The winning submissions were selected by the Editors who, after judging several excellent articles meeting the Award criteria, found it very difficult to attribute the award to a single winner.
Robert Bowen, Swansea University, UK & Eduardo Oliveira, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany – the Editors of the eZine Regions have announced the two winners of the Best Paper for papers published in 2020:
The Best Paper Award 2020 is jointly attributed to two winning articles:
Sidewalk Labs closed down – whither Google’s smart city
By Constance Carr, Markus Hesse, Department of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg
Financialisation and urban densification: London and Manchester’s niche student housing markets
By Stefania Fiorentino, University of Cambridge, UK and Nicola Livingstone, Michael Short, Bartlett School of Planning, UCL, UK
We would like to congratulate to all our winners and look forward to celebrating their awards at our Virtual Awards Ceremony.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has published in the Regions eZine since it’s formation in 2018.
