It is with deep appreciation that RSA says goodbye to the Chair of the RSA Hungary Branch, Attila Korompai.
Attila was one of the longest serving of our Territorial Representatives, having supported us since 1992. We thank Attila for his dedication and commitment over the many years as the Chair of our Hungary Branch. We wish him a very long and enjoyable retirement.
We are currently seeking a replacement for Attila and we invite you to apply or to nominate a colleague.
The role typically requires 3-6 hours of work per month. The person should have sufficient experience, enthusiasm, commitment and contacts in regional studies fields to be the face of the RSA in Hungary, and to spread the word about the many activities and opportunities available to our members, both locally and internationally.
In return, the role offers prestige and opens up numerous collaborative opportunities. RSA Territorial Representatives are recognised at RSA events, have a profile page on the RSA website, receive a certificate when appointed, receive a reduced conference fee for the RSA’s Annual Conference and are invited to attend the annual RSA Territorial Representatives meeting which usually takes place during the RSA’s Annual Conference.
Please note this is a voluntary unpaid role and the Ambassador would of course need to be a member of the RSA or willing to become one. There is currently an RSA Ambassador to Hungary, and so as Branch Chair you would be expected to collaborate with him from time to time.
If you are interested, please email Suede Stanton-Drudy to be sent details of the application process. The deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 2nd October.
