The Gender and Regional Studies network is a research network whose purpose is to bring together researchers and research perspectives on the topic of gender in regional studies. The network organises activities such as workshops, special sessions, book projects, conferences etc. in various locations throughout the globe – all with the shared purpose of pushing forward the field of gender research in the regional studies community. With its academic and organisational abode in Economic Geography at Örebro University and Stockholm University respectively, the Gender and Regional Studies network forms a support structure for international scholars working on gender and entrepreneurship, governance, policy, SMEs, local and regional planning, innovation and similar topics.
