Smart Specialisation Conference, Seville 2016 – Interview with Alessandro Rainoldi
Alessandro Rainoldi discusses the value of bringing together policy makers and academics to build communities and disseminate knowledge across boundaries of specialism. He acknowledges that measures of success are different for academics and policy makers, although mixed community conferences such as this one, can help policy makers to reflect. This helps policymakers consider outcomes from scientific communities when making their future decisions on policy action.
He describes how the RSA and how being a policymaker with RSA membership helps this process by helping build networks and bridge boundaries.
