We are pleased to once again be working with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre at this year’s 2018 SMARTER Conference on Smart Specialisation and Territorial Development in Seville, Spain. This event will be held between the 26th and 28th September, 2018.
Below is a link to the video of Carlo Gianelle, where he discusses his experiences of being involved with Smart Specialisation. He describes the benefits of working with regions, for regions and with academics around the concept of smart specialisation and the practical implementations of outcomes. 
He talks about how the network of scientists, academics, practitioners and policy makers grew during the event in 2016, and the unique opportunity there is for people to interact across boundaries and collaborate on regional problems together.
