We are pleased to announce that the RSA Board have agreed funding for the Research Network on Eco-Social Policy and Practice for Innovation and Transformation (ESPPRIT). This research network responds to climate change and increasing inequalities, bringing together conceptual, theoretical, methodological, and empirical approaches from Regional Studies, Urban and Regional Planning, Economic Geography, Regional Science, and Policy Studies to critically engage with eco-social transformations.
The overall aim of the network is to foster interdisciplinary discussions with scholars from Regional Studies, Urban and Regional Planning, Economic Geography, Regional Science, and Policy Studies on eco-social transformations. More details on ESPPRIT can be found here.
The organisers said:
“We are delighted to have been awarded the Regional Studies Association Network Grant to organise an international network on eco-social policy and practice for innovation and transformation (ESPPRIT). With participants and keynote speakers representing 10 different countries, we look forward to building collaborations, fostering relationships, and engaging in debates over the coming years on how to achieve deep-seated transformations through social innovation, governance and policy. We greatly appreciate the support of the RSA to enable this interdisciplinary endeavour.”
The RSA is looking forward to working with the network’s community and the organisers, Astrid Krisch (University of Oxford, UK), Lucas Barning (TU Wien, Austria), Sarah Ware (Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria) and Alexander Hamedinger (TU Wien, Austria)
