We are delighted to inform you that the RSA Journal Territory, Politics, Governance has been accepted into the following indexes:
- Social Sciences Citation Index®
- Journal Citation Reports/ Social Sciences Edition
- Current Contents®/Social and Behavioural Sciences
This is a significant development for the journal following its successful launch six years ago. The journal has now matured from the Emerging Sources Citation Index to the Social Sciences Citation Index ® (SSCI) and Scopus. Inclusion in the SSCI will lead to the journal receiving an Impact Factor and being added to relevant subject categories in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
Territory, Politics, Governance is edited by Professor John Agnew (UCLA), with multidisciplinary articles dedicated to the development of theory and research in territorial politics and the governance of space. The current issue (Feb 2018, 6:1) includes Saskia Sassen’s Annual Lecture Embedded borderings: making new geographies of centrality, where she posits the emergence of specific operational spaces that recur in country after country unframed by national or international laws; and Urban development and the politics of dissonance, an article by Nicholas Phelps and Dave Valler, who examine the implications of territorial discrepancy amongst governance arrangements and introduce the notion of ‘urban political dissonance’.
These are just two examples of how TPG explores the interface between territory, politics, economy, identity and the organisation of political space, publishing original, high quality international scholarship from this growing, international and increasingly vibrant field directed at a worldwide academic audience and at policy makers, activists and other communities of practice.
