Were you a participant at the Ljubljana Conference?
We hope that you enjoyed the RSA’s first fully hybrid annual conference which was held in beautiful Ljubljana, Slovenia in June this year. This was the Association’s largest ever conference and as it ran fully hybrid, it was also arguably its most complicated. What did not change however, was the quality of the papers presented and the engagement in the discussions in sessions. As usual the RSA encourages everyone to consider one of its six journals as a home for their paper but this year, we also have an invitation from the local hosts to submit your papers to their journal EBR.
EBR is the official double-blind refereed OPEN ACCESS journal of the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, dedicated to publishing original scientific articles in the English language for a wide academic and professional audience. The EBR mainly publishes original scientific studies, reviews (analyses/overviews of existing knowledge on a particular topic/scientific field), and editorials.
The EBR does not charge any fees to authors for manuscript processing and/or publishing.
They currently have a call for papers for a special or thematic issue on Transforming regions and this will be co-guest-edited by Vasja Rant and Sonja Slander, both of whom were among the local organising team for the conference. The provisional time for submission of papers is by November 15th, 2023 and the special issue/thematic is expected to be finalised by mid-2024.
The Call for Papers can be found here.
In closing we would again like to thank our friends and hosts at the University of Ljubljana for their wonderful collaboration during the run up to, during and after the conference. It really was wonderful to meet up with everyone and explore that corner of Slovenia.
