We are delighted to welcome Stefania Fiorentino and Robert Bowen who will be joining Eduardo Oliveira as editors of Regions, our online magazine.
Stefania is a multidisciplinary researcher and teaching fellow in planning and economic development, with working experience in international consultancies. She currently lectures modules in spatial planning and urban regeneration both at University College London (UCL) and London South Bank University (LSBU). Her PhD in Planning from the Bartlett School of Planning (UCL) has investigated the new geography of innovation in Italy, including the underlining socio-economic dynamics and the governance implications of the new workspaces (e.g. co-working spaces, maker spaces, start-up incubators) and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Her current research interest focusses on ways to reconcile planning practices and local economic development for more inclusive and resilient regeneration strategies.
Robert is a Lecturer in International Entrepreneurship at Swansea University in Wales. He holds a PhD in International Entrepreneurship from Aberystwyth University, Wales, where he was also a lecturer. His research interest focusses on SME internationalisation, the food and drink industry, rural entrepreneurship, place-based marketing and entrepreneurship in the creative industries. He currently lectures on modules including the Enterprise Life Cycle and Final Year Project. He also supervises students at both PhD and Masters levels, and collaborates with colleagues on several research projects.
