2-year Postdoctoral Research Associate position on Democratic Localism and Global Policy Mobility in Leverhulme funded project based in Urban Studies and Social Policy at the University of Glasgow.
We invite applications for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to a two-year Leverhulme-funded project, Democratic Localism and Global Policy Mobility, working with Ross Beveridge, Andrew Cumbers, Helen Traill and Allan Cochrane (Open University). The successful candidate will collaborate with team members in undertaking qualitative research and analysis of findings. They will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications as well as to help manage and direct this challenging project, and jointly apply for further research funding as opportunities allow.
Candidates should have an up-to-date knowledge of current issues and future directions within the fields of human geography, urban studies and/or political science relevant to the project and an in-depth knowledge of debates about democracy, localism, policy mobility, and related areas such as urban/ local politics, social movements, municipalism and the state.
