Como embajadora en México, es un gusto darles la bienvenida a la Asociación de Estudios Regionales (RSA). La RSA es una asociación internacional que tiene como objetivo promover los más altos estándares de desarrollo teórico, análisis empírico y debate político sobre ciudades y regiones. La RSA tiene una extensa red internacional de embajadores que trabajan en conjunto para difundir y expandir las distintas actividades de la asociación entre las que se incluyen conferencias, actividades editoriales y formación de redes de investigación. En los próximos 3 años tendré la importante tarea de difundir en México información sobre la RSA y sobre los beneficios de pertenecer a ella. A los interesados en los estudios regionales los invito a ponerse en contacto y colaborar juntos en promover esta importante área académica y de acción pública.
As RSA Ambassador to Mexico, it is an honour to welcome you to the Association of Regional Studies (RSA). The RSA is an international organisation that aims to promote the highest standards of theoretical development, empirical analysis and political debate on cities and regions. The RSA has an extensive international network of ambassadors working together to disseminate and expand the various activities of the association, including conferences, publishing activities and research networks. In the next 3 years, I will have the important task of disseminating in Mexico information about the RSA and the benefits of belonging to it. The RSA Ambassador to Mexico, Alejandra Trejo Nieto hosted the launch of her book, her latest in the RSA Cities and Regions Series, entitled Metropolitan Economic Development: The Political Economy of Urbanisation in Mexico. The launch took place at 11am on 24 January with commentary from Paavo Monkkonen, Nadine Reis and Marcel Anduiza.
