Head of Centre for Regional Policy, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), Moscow. The Centre was founded for conducting research on regional studies and develop activities related to regional and municipal authorities.

Russia is a country that provides great scope for regional studies. Carrying out regional research with the help of the international experience accumulated in the Regional Studies Association (RSA) should improve quality and create conditions for new research to obtain results and develop practical recommendations.
